Phillip Druskenvald

A deathless being that is the lord of Druskenvald or well was, Phillip Druskenvald. Ruling Druskenvald for years, he actually was not always such for the realm. He actually usurped the realm from the goddess, Kehlenn. This goddess utizlized reincarnation magics of the domain to rebirth souls as flora and fauna in a natural world, where life was brutal and short. Phillip taking it from her and claiming the reincarnation powers for his own. Taking the land, changing it into his designing and renaming it after himself. He appearances as a dapper man with a pleasant personality but that is to mislead others from his immense power. He looks like a tall, thin man, hair is perfectly slicked-back with a thin black mustache. He is a lord of death, not aware of his own origin. He provides souls with the opportunity to be reborn and enjoy a second chance at life. He has completely forgotten of the battle he had with the goddess Kehlenn, and the world of this domain before taking over it and making Druskenvald. While he was a timeless being, it is actually unknown what has occurred of Phillip long ago. He is the husband of Adela. - Mini VagrantBack

Adela Druskenvald

Also having ruled over Druskenvald with Phillip is Adela Druskenvald. Both Druskenvalds had a distaste for politics, but she was also the voice of reason, reminding of the responsibility to help those in the thirteen provinces. Unlike Phillip, Adela was born as a mortal being. When she was a child, she had paranormal experiences and prophetic visions. This helped her discover immense powers of divination, and her strong connection to the spiritual world. Curiosity and bravery got her to meet face-to-face with Phillip, the two falling in love with each other instantly, getting married quickly after that. Adela now became immortal, enjoying the youth it granted her, and she would now seek out new and exciting experiences. Her gift of second sight was exceptional, but she doubted her abilities, and this caused her to misinterpret the visions she had. Adela has disappeared, unknown of what has happened to her. Despite her cheerfulness and anxiousness, it is possible she was more crafty, calculating than she would let on to be. - Mini VagrantBack

Raum, The Harvest Terror

A long time ago in the cornfields of Foxwillow, there was Raum, the Harvest Terror. Thankfully, he is no longer there. He would use secrets, weaving them into chaos in order to turn people against each, creating discord among neighbors. Formerly, the haunted, friendly, scarecrow, Ol' Jericho Sticks. He would go around Foxwillow's farmlands and sing songs in the attempts to drown out his sorrows. He was loved by the people in the town. Tried as he might, music was not enough against the voice inside his head. The voice was that of a demon that Jericho called "Virgil", spreading the discord among the people of Foxwillow slowly and gaining power. This resulted in townsfolk being suspicious of Jericho, having Jericho to gain an increasing amount of self-doubt. The demon would prey on this, manipulating the already wounded psyche until Jericho gave into it. Jericho realizing the demon was gaining control went into the cornfields to keep the people in the town safe, shortly his soul got devoured by the demon. This resulted into the demon and Jericho merging and forming a new demon in the scarecrow body by the name of Raum, the Harvest Terror, crow-like fiend, having a body of straw and rusted metal. Like the rest of the Fallen, this demon scarecrow is not around. - Amanai Shion, Watcher of FoxwillowBack

Father Renathyr, The Crimson Abbot

Once a knight, Sir Marius Renathyr, once righteous, gathering other knights to his side to protect the innocent from wicked men and monsters. Some point during his questing, his mission took its toll, kindness dulling, allowing zeal and wrath to enter. The wrath gained the attention of Viraxys (vih-RAK-seez) or the Crimson Rose, one who preyed on the men that were wicked, and acted upon their evil impulses. Viraxys would do such by inflicting sorrow upon their souls, wanting to ensnare Marius, she sent an army against him, resulting him to be near death. Falsely presenting herself as a goddess to Marius, she offered immortality to him, wanting his blood and service in her quests in exchange. Marius accepted this offer and became a vampire, his sword now transforming into a blood-soaked blade to symbolize that he is her champion. A situation caused him to wander to the town of Dawn's Gate, being led to a small monastery by Viraxys. She corrupted the monks there to be followers of her. The Crimson Monastery now came to existence, and he became Father Renathyr, the Crimson Abbot, and the leader of the Crimson Faith. He spent him time searching for those to accept the teachings of Viraxys, destroying those who reject the ideals of his faith. Using fire or feeding on these people. He was driven by a need to deliver souls to Viraxys. As I said, thankfully, he is no longer around. Also, as a vampire and knight, do not connect me to this man in any way. I despise him deeply and do not wish to speak of him further. I am pretty sure no one mentioned how Midnight Vigil has this knowledge. It is not because of the book; it is because of The Vagrant who we met once and told us tales. - Sir Maki ManaseBack

Mister Crossroads, The Grinning Sinner

Listen, I am called Mistress Crossroads but do not associate me with Mister Crossroads, the Grinning Sinner. I am nothing like the crocodilian man. The name is just cool to me, alright? He was Captain Briggsy "The Kutlass" Kratch, living a life of piracy until losing his crew to the waves of Druskenvald's ocean, only him surviving with the power of his patron. He decided to leave the life on sea behind, finding himself bouncing between bounty hunts and dangerous jobs. Eventually, making home in the swamp land known as the Drowned Crossroads. The people feared the magic and hexed sword of Briggsy. Ending up penniless and no purpose, he resented his patron believing that the patron turned his back on him. Briggsy got the idea to go into the bayou throwing the cutlass into the water to summon the patron. Challenging his patron to a game of dice, defeating his patron after playing all night, he bound his patron to a hexed coffin, claiming all the power for himself. This came with the cost of Briggsy's body to rot, and withering his left arm to bone. Moving to an abandoned shack and becoming what the people in Murkwater bend originally thought him to be, the bogeyman of the Drowned Crossroads, going by the name Mister Crossroads. Being addressed as the Grinning Sinner by those that called him for favors and charms because of his crocodile smile and trickster magic. Mister Crossroads' favorite to work with those were those that were extremely desperate, like Ursula from The Little Mermaid, making deals with unfortunate souls. The pacts he made with them with a handshake, giving the victims what they wanted but at a cost like always. The deals having loopholes, the luck gained after making a deal for the souls would run out, weeks, months or years later, any fortune granted by his jinxcraft turning to ash and every soul would eventually end up experiencing the worst of misfortune costing their life and granting their soul to the Grinning Sinner. He would use this to fuel the magic that keeps his patron bound to the hexed coffin, and taking their corpses to rise as Undead to join Mister Crossroads' crew of the damned. He manned the riverboat, Dead Man's Hand when not making deals. He is certainly no longer around but you can find the shack he was in and the riverboat at the Drowned Crossroads still. - Tsuyoi Nasuzu, Mistress CrossroadsBack

It is great she is not here. Gone are the experiments that occurred in the past from Matron Lethica. - Lady May MellowBack

Gorthos, The Beast of Blight

Once known as Farryn of the Greenwood. She shared the same beliefs as the druids of the Greenwood. That personal attachment was unnatural and lead to the astray of their devotion to the endless cycle of life. Farryn ended up meeting a human named Gwenna. As some point between the two exploring the forest, sharing stories, and secrets between them, a love bloomed. The two becoming lovers. Unfortunately, shortly after, Gwenna died due to a ravenous wolf-like monstrosity. Farryn was able to fend off the wolf, but it was too late, Gwenna became part of the cycle having fed the creatures of the wood returning to the earth. Farryn refused to accept this of her lover's fate, overwhelmed with grief and agony of loss. Hearing the voice of an ancient god, Gorthos, Farryn carried Gwenna's body to a cave that was overgrown with fungus and had the corpse of an ancient stag inside. It's rotten flesh, fur and bone was that of what remained of Gorthos. This dead god and Farryn shared the same dream of an Emerald Rebirth that would restore the god and Gwenna to how they were before. Farryn would eat the rotten flesh of the god, resulting in her body to rot, change and grow, it adding to her own form till the corpse was no longer existing, she turned into a huge, decayed abomination. She carried on taking Gwenna's body to waters of the sacred wellspring of the Greenwood's as a final offering to the god Farryn consumed. This caused the wellspring to spoil, and have spores bloom wildly, rotting all the wood in the forest with Harsblight, hence the forest now being called Hartsblight Forest as mentioned. With the rot spreading, no longer being Farryn, as Gorthos, the Beast of Blight, retreated to her den becoming one with blight, filled with a bitter hope that death, decay, of all things would restart the natura cycle with an Emerald Rebirth, and she would once again be able to see her lover, Gwenna. That never got to happen since Hartsblight Forest is till here, Gorthos is not, it is a good thing that the blight remains in the forest and not spreading to other areas of Druskenvald. - Alice Sinoah, Guardian of the HartsblightBack

Yorgrim, The Chained Reaper

There used to be Yorgrim, the Gravedigger in Druskenvald years ago. Unfortunately, he ended up succumbing to the corruption of the Shroud and becoming Yorgrim, the Chained Reaper. He was the last of his friends to fall, long before Yorgrim was a shaman and seer for his people, the orcs of the Shadestone Clan. He would perform burial rites and guide the people to the afterlife. The clan's chieftain ended up deceiving Yorgrim into performing a ritual that resulting ending the lives of the entire community, he got his vengeance for this, but what did it matter when they were dead and would not be able to find peace? That being said, Yorgrim decided to impose a penance on himself, etching the names of the fallen orcs on a heavy stone, and chaining it to his back. Committing to carrying it forever, looking for a way to bring peace to the souls. Performing burial rites for countless souls of others till his death. But his spirit still persisted, and ending up in Druskenvald stuck as a ghost still chained to the stone. He continued to perform rites till meeting Ol' Jericho Sticks, Sir Marius Renathyr, Captain Briggsy Kratch, Lethica Nightborne, and Farryn of the Greenwood, eventually becoming friends with them. Sometime after meeting and becoming friends with the five others, he found the Maidenmist Cemetery and bound himself to it, back to performing burial rites, taking on the role of being the sexton for the cemetery. He did this in order to prevent the spirits in the Shroud from escaping, the tear getting larger he asked his friends for assistance, all offering fragments of their souls to light braziers of spectral balefire to repeal the Shroud. He ended up never seeing them again after this since he could not leave the cemetery. With the others falling to sin one by one, that resulted to the beacons of balefire to dim and eventually becoming completely dark, allowing the Shroud to become stronger again making Yorgrim's duty difficult. Because of this, even to the best of his ability with the weakening of his soul as he did, he ended up becoming part of the Fallen, resulting into the existence of the Chained Reaper. What happened after that is unknown? But he is no longer around at all, and now I take care of the Maidenmist Cemetery with Isolde who was once Yorgrim's companion even though the Shroud is not a problem. - Amagami Loa, The Mini GravediggerBack
